Kien Giang has a new Provincial Party Secretary.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, has been transferred by the Politburo to the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.

Late in the afternoon of January 17th, in Kien Giang, Mr. Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organization Department, chaired a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel matters.

At the conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department, announced the Politburo's decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.

Simultaneously, he will hold the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, replacing Mr. Do Thanh Binh, who has been transferred, assigned, and appointed to the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee.

In his remarks, Mr. Le Minh Hung stated that Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai is an official who has risen through the ranks from the grassroots and held various positions. He is considered by the Politburo to be a capable and experienced official with a scientific, democratic, decisive, and thorough approach to work, always successfully completing assigned tasks.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai stated that in his new position, he will strive to do his utmost, upholding the spirit of pioneering and exemplary conduct, working together with the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, and the entire political system of Kien Giang province to maintain internal unity, seize opportunities, leverage collective intelligence, demonstrate resilience, innovate, and strive to overcome difficulties and challenges.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai (60 years old, from Ca Mau); Professional qualifications: Master of Public Administration, Bachelor of Law; Political theory qualifications: Bachelor.

Prior to becoming Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai held various positions: Secretary of the Cai Nuoc District Party Committee (Ca Mau province), Director of the Ca Mau Department of Justice, Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council.
