Building sustainable smart cities

NDO - On May 7th, the Smart City Asia 2025 International Forum and Exhibition took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Asian Smart Cities International Forum and Exhibition is jointly organized by Exporum Vietnam, the Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Institute for Innovation and Digital Transformation, and the Vietnam Automation Association. This is one of the leading events in the region, affirming Vietnam's pioneering role in the journey of building smart cities.

With the theme "New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence in Sustainable Smart Urban Development," the exhibition attracted more than 450 booths and nearly 300 exhibitors, offering a comprehensive picture of innovative solutions such as: smart education , AI in urban management, lighting technology, security, smart homes, environmental treatment, semiconductor technology, and many other key areas.

One of the highlights is the Smart City Development Forum, which includes three key themes: semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence; building a digital ecosystem for sustainable urban development; and smart education for a smart society.

Smart City Asia 2025 is not only a showcase of technology, but also a platform to promote public-private partnerships and effectively utilize social resources for modern urban projects. In addition, the event expands the space for networking and exchanging experiences among leaders, experts, businesses, and investors from both domestic and international backgrounds, with over 15,000 delegates in attendance.

Notably, the event also included two international exhibitions: the 10th LEDTEC Asia Exhibition on Lighting Equipment and Technology and the International Education Exhibition in Vietnam.

Smart City Asia 2025 will become a meeting place for knowledge, technology, and development strategies, contributing to the practical dissemination of the "smart city" concept to individuals, organizations, and the wider community.

The event strongly affirms Vietnam's commitment to aligning with global urban development trends, where people, technology, and creativity work together to create a sustainable, safe, and livable future.
