Mrs. Moi lamented, "With all this rain, we're doomed! Poor us shallot farmers! The soil is wet, the bulbs don't grow, they just sit there. People are offering to buy shallots for twenty or thirty thousand dong, but I have 8 acres of shallots and the bulbs are too small to sell."

Now, with Tet approaching, I’ll sell whatever bulbs, big or small, to whoever wants them.”

Shallots are grown on over 120 hectares in the commune and sold to traders in Da Nang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, etc. This is the main source of income for farmers in Binh Phuc during the Tet holiday season.
