Disciplining a female teacher

Regarding the incident where a student from Le Hong Phong High School in Bim Son town ( Thanh Hoa province) had their exam scores mistakenly entered, causing them to go from failing the 10th grade entrance exam to becoming the top scorer, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training has submitted a report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the explanation, the incident did not occur due to the teachers grading the papers, but rather due to the grading committee of the Ngoc Lac High School's examination board. Specifically, the grading committee mistakenly entered the wrong score for candidate CTH in the 2024-2025 10th grade entrance exam. Therefore, the responsibility lies with the chairman of the examination board.

The Department's inspectors also worked with the family, the examination board, and the teachers directly involved, confirming that there was no wrongdoing in this case.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training also directed Le Hong Phong High School to re-evaluate the applications of candidates from the CTH program in accordance with regulations.

Accordingly, this candidate did not have enough points to be admitted to the school. On September 26th, Le Hong Phong High School invited representatives of the student's family and sent them the notification of the admission results for grade 10 for student H.

On October 8th, the Department of Education and Training issued a notice directing Ngoc Lac High School to conduct a review of the responsibilities of the staff and teachers directly involved in the aforementioned errors. On October 9th, Ngoc Lac High School held a review meeting to assess the responsibilities of the relevant members.

As a result, disciplinary action in the form of a reprimand was taken against Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet, a teacher at Ngoc Lac High School, for mistakenly entering the wrong grades.

The review and lessons learned session involved the following officials and teachers from Ngoc Lac High School: Mr. Vu Ngoc Liem - Principal of Ngoc Lac High School; and Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh, Ms. Vu Thi Thuy, and Ms. Tran Thi Tu, all teachers at Ngoc Lac High School in the record keeping team.

The Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training is also seriously learning from past experiences in managing and directing examinations more strictly, enhancing the responsibility of officials, and strictly implementing examination regulations and guidelines to avoid regrettable mistakes.
