Hanoi While on the road, suddenly a passenger had a seizure and lost consciousness. Driver Tran Ngoc Chi, 44 years old, immediately took the patient to the emergency room, noon on March 19.
Mr. Chi, an employee of the Hanoi BRT Bus Rapid Transit Company, said the passenger was a young man around 20 years old who got on the bus at the Quoc Oai Hospital stop at 12 noon on March 19. At the La Duong intersection in Ha Dong district, the man suddenly fell to the floor of the bus, had muscle spasms and lost consciousness.
Realizing that the passenger's life could be in danger if he did not receive emergency care in time, driver Chi asked the others to move to the back of the bus to create more space. Assistant driver Le Van Thang laid the patient down, took off his coat and propped his head up while Chi drove straight to the Dai Mo Ward Medical Station, Nam Tu Liem District, about a kilometer away.
After taking the patient to the emergency room, driver Chi reported the incident to the management and instructed the remaining passengers to catch another bus while he stayed behind to monitor the patient's health and find a way to contact his family.
Identification documents show the patient's name is Nguyen Dinh Nam Khanh, 20 years old, from Ngoc My commune, Quoc Oai district.
