On the evening of July 10th, Hanoi Radio and Television Station launched the HANOI ON application, aiming for a comprehensive multimedia communication platform.

Many amenities from HANOI ON

Ms. Hoang Mai Phuong, Director of the Digital Content Center of Hanoi Radio and Television Station, said that HANOI ON applies new technological achievements to provide users with diverse experiences in different information content produced and distributed by Hanoi Radio and Television Station, suitable to the preferences and habits of new users, as well as the national digital transformation strategy of journalism. The HANOI ON application features television programs and on-demand videos; content about Hanoi, for Hanoi, special music programs, audiobooks, and a library of outstanding Vietnamese and international TV series. Particularly noteworthy is the collection of classic films from Vietnamese and world cinema over the past century. Users can access news quickly through continuously updated vertical short videos and watch breaking news broadcasts live. With HANOI ON, users are not just viewers, listeners, or readers, but can also participate in content creation. Users can provide self-created content for Hanoi Television's broadcast channels, interact in television programs, or use online educational tools, payment services, e-commerce, view traffic cameras, and report traffic jams. Importantly, users can also access public services of Hanoi city, which will be integrated in stages. However, this and several other features are currently still under development.

The right direction

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications , congratulated Hanoi Radio and Television Station on its achievements in recent times, especially the launch of the HANOI ON application, which integrates many useful features. Mr. Lam said this is a new step forward that inspires those working at the station. He affirmed that this is the right direction, strongly leveraging the advantages of the digital platform and mastering the digital space to better fulfill the mission of a media agency. Mr. Nguyen Kim Khiem, General Director of Hanoi Radio and Television Station, stated that Hanoi Radio and Television Station developed this application as a comprehensive ecosystem about Hanoi, in which viewers are both recipients of content and creators of content for this ecosystem. Today's launch is just the first step; Hanoi Radio and Television Station aims to make the HANOI ON application one of the five most popular media applications in Vietnam by 2025.
