Residents of Ta Nang commune, Lam Dong province, have reported to the Saigon Giai Phong newspaper that the provincial road DT.729, approximately 15km long, running through Tan Ha, To Mrang, and Cho Rung villages (Ta Nang commune), has been severely degraded, affecting the daily lives and production of over 430 households with about 1,800 people.

According to observations here, the DT.729 road through Ta Nang commune is still a gravel road. After the rains, DT.729 becomes a nightmare for every resident who has to travel through it because it is frequently flooded and muddy.
The road surface has long been eroded, creating potholes and muddy areas, posing a danger to people and vehicles.

While present at the scene, we witnessed numerous instances of trucks carrying agricultural products getting stuck, with many vehicles sinking deep into the mud and requiring the use of tractors to pull them out.
For motorcyclists, having to "break down on the road" happens even more frequently because they have no other option.

According to residents, the situation is no better during the dry season because the road surface is dry and heavily dusty. This not only affects people's health but also reduces visibility while driving, impacts crops along the road, and negatively impacts their quality of life.

Locals hope the road will be upgraded soon so that the transportation of agricultural products and goods from Ta Nang commune to neighboring areas will be easier, and agricultural products will not be subjected to price manipulation or damage due to prolonged transportation times.
According to the planning guidelines, the DT.729 road will be newly constructed and upgraded to meet the standards of a Class 4 mountain road. The total length of this road is approximately 25.8 km (including about 10.7 km of new construction and 15.1 km of upgrading and widening). Currently, many sections have not been constructed uniformly and have deteriorated, making traffic difficult and unsafe, especially during the rainy season.
