On the same day, heavy rain occurred in Lam Son commune. On Song Pha pass, landslides from the embankment spilled onto the road. At that time, many people and vehicles were traveling through the area.
Upon receiving the report, the commune authorities promptly dispatched forces to the scene, setting up checkpoints and temporarily prohibiting vehicle traffic to ensure safety and begin cleanup operations.

Song Pha Pass, also known as Ngoan Muc Pass, connects Da Lat with Phan Rang. This winding road traverses rugged mountainous terrain, with many sections featuring high embankments, posing a risk of landslides during the rainy season.
In mid-November 2025, the pass suffered serious landslides in many areas of the embankment, forcing authorities to temporarily close it to ensure the safety of the people. To date, the landslides continue to recur, posing a very high risk to safety.

Following the landslide, authorities in Lam Dong province temporarily banned traffic on National Highway 27 in the direction from Lam Dong to Khanh Hoa via Song Pha Pass to ensure safety. Due to the unexpected situation, vehicles had to wait at the top of Song Pha Pass for updates from the authorities.

Currently, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces are mainly connected by National Highway 27C (Khanh Le Pass) and National Highway 27 (Song Pha Pass). During the heavy rains and floods in November 2025, dozens of landslides occurred on Khanh Le Pass. Authorities are currently working to repair the damage, and no date has been set for when traffic will be allowed to resume.
Also on the afternoon of December 2nd, heavy rain caused localized flooding on National Highway 27 in the section passing through D'ran commune (Lam Dong province), making it impossible for many vehicles to pass through.
According to reports, the heavy rain, which lasted about two hours, caused water from upstream to overflow onto National Highway 27, resulting in flooding of 0.3-0.5 meters. In many sections, the water flowed so strongly that motorcycles and low-clearance cars could not pass through.

According to reports, the flooded section of road is approximately 500 meters long, disrupting traffic and forcing many residents to take temporary shelter in houses along the roadside because they were afraid to cross the fast-flowing water.

Immediately after assessing the situation, authorities deployed personnel to both ends of the road, restricting traffic to ensure safety. By approximately 4:45 PM that same day, the flooding on National Highway 27 showed no signs of easing.
Previously, in November 2025, heavy rains and floods also occurred in D'ran commune, causing significant property damage with total losses estimated at approximately 440 billion VND.
