On the same day, heavy rain occurred in Lam Son commune. On Song Pha pass, landslides from the slopes spilled onto the road. At that time, many people and vehicles were passing through the area.
Upon receiving the news, the commune authorities promptly sent forces to the scene to set up checkpoints, temporarily banning traffic to ensure safety, and carry out cleanup work.

Song Pha Pass, also known as Ngoan Muc Pass, connects Da Lat with Phan Rang. This winding road passes through rugged mountainous terrain, with many high slopes and a risk of landslides during the rainy season.
In mid-November 2025, the pass suffered serious landslides at many slope locations, and the authorities had to temporarily close it to ensure people's safety. Up to now, landslides continue to recur, posing a very high risk of insecurity.

After the landslide, Lam Dong authorities temporarily banned traffic on National Highway 27 from Lam Dong to Khanh Hoa via Song Pha Pass to ensure safety. Faced with the unexpected situation, vehicles had to wait at the top of Song Pha Pass to receive updates from authorities.

Currently, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa are mainly connected by National Highway 27C (Khanh Le Pass) and National Highway 27 (Song Pha Pass). During the flood season in November 2025, dozens of landslides appeared on Khanh Le Pass. Currently, the authorities are working to fix the problem and have not yet determined a time for traffic to resume.
Also on the afternoon of December 2, heavy rain caused localized flooding on National Highway 27 through D'ran Commune (Lam Dong Province), making it impossible for many vehicles to circulate.
According to records, the heavy rain that lasted about 2 hours caused water from upstream to overflow National Highway 27, causing flooding of 0.3-0.5m. In many sections, the water flowed so fast that motorbikes and low-chassis cars could not pass through.

According to records, the flooded road section is about 500m long, causing traffic disruption. Many people had to take temporary shelter in houses on both sides of the road because they did not dare to move through the rushing water.

Immediately after grasping the situation, the authorities organized to be on duty at both ends of the road, limiting traffic to ensure safety. By about 4:45 p.m. the same day, the flooding on Highway 27 still showed no signs of abating.
Previously, in November 2025, heavy rain also occurred in D'ran commune, causing heavy property damage with a total loss of about 440 billion VND.
