The road is 36 m wide, with a 13.5 m road surface and a 12.5 m median strip, and 5 m wide sidewalks on each side. The entire project also includes a drainage system, trees, lighting, and other auxiliary items. The project has a total cost of nearly 118 billion VND, to be implemented in the 2023-2027 period.

Phan Thiet Airport (combining military and civil) was planned by the Ministry of Transport in 2013, covering 543 hectares, and built in Thien Nghiep commune. The Ministry of National Defense has authority over the military category, while civil aviation matters are under the authority of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province.

According to the Binh Thuan Department of Planning and Investment, many military projects are nearing completion. The runway alone is basically complete and will be completed in September. In early 2024, military flight crews will be able to conduct training flights here.

Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee is selecting an investor to replace Rang Dong Joint Stock Company to carry out civil works at the airport.
