
The Da Nang tourism culture criteria are implemented for two target groups: local residents and organizations/individuals working in the tourism industry, as well as domestic and international tourists visiting and staying in the city.
According to the plan, the city will organize communication, propaganda, and training activities to help residents, businesses, and tourists understand and effectively implement the criteria of cultural tourism, contributing to spreading the spirit of "Da Nang SMILE" - civilized, friendly, professional, and respectful of tourists.
Specifically, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, acting as the coordinating body, will produce promotional videos, leaflets, standees, posters, billboards, and clips introducing the "Da Nang SMILE" criteria, to be distributed at the airport, hotels, tourist attractions, and transportation; and will also organize training sessions, seminars, workshops, and competitions on tourism culture and friendly conduct.
Simultaneously, coordinate with press and television agencies to produce regular features, reports, and articles spreading the message about the friendly smiles and cultured behavior of the people of Da Nang.
Departments, agencies, and localities are tasked with coordinating the implementation of the criteria. Specifically, the Department of Education and Training will incorporate the criteria into school awareness programs; the City Police will strengthen security and address violations affecting the tourism environment; and the Department of Foreign Affairs will promote the "Da Nang SMILE" image to international tourism markets…
With the message "Da Nang SMILE - The Smile of Da Nang," the set of criteria aims to create a strong shift in the awareness and actions of the community, towards building Da Nang into a friendly, civilized, and memorable destination, affirming its position as a leading tourist city in Vietnam and the region.
