Take the initiative on your fishing trip.

In Phu Yen ward, along the small roads leading to the seaport, households hung national flags in front of their houses and worked together to clean and beautify the residential area. Some fishing families took advantage of their time off from fishing to participate in voter outreach activities, preparing for the great national event.

Mr. Phan Van Tuan, a fisherman in Phu Yen ward, shared: “Although we are out at sea, everyone is concerned about election day. We were reminded by neighborhood officials about the time and location of voting, so we will arrange our work to return to shore on the right day. Choosing our representatives is both a right and a responsibility of every citizen.”

Not only in Phu Yen ward, but the atmosphere leading up to election day has spread throughout coastal localities in the province. Many fishermen have proactively adjusted their fishing plans, temporarily postponing long voyages to make time to vote, demonstrating their responsibility towards this important political event of the country.

Pham Van Dong Street (Song Cau Ward) is decorated with national flags and prominent election propaganda banners.

Mr. Dang Van Thanh, Head of Election Committee No. 3 in Song Cau Ward, said this is the 10th time he has participated in election work. Compared to previous years, this time the procedures are faster and more efficient thanks to the application of information technology. All voter information is updated on the system, making it much easier to verify the number of voters and their places of residence.

According to Mr. Thanh, given the unique characteristics of the coastal area, many voters regularly go to sea or work in aquaculture in the bay, so the propaganda work must be carried out thoroughly to ensure that people know the time and place to vote. In addition to mobile propaganda vehicles, the locality also arranged boats carrying loudspeakers to travel on the bay every day. The loudspeakers resonate across the water, reaching every shrimp and fish farm, helping fishermen to fully understand the information about the election.

Ready for the big event!

Along with the public's enthusiasm, preparations for election day are being carried out urgently and synchronously in localities. To help people access information about the election fully and promptly, Hoa Hiep ward has organized mobile propaganda twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, continuously until election day. The propaganda content focuses on clarifying the purpose and significance of the election; the criteria for delegates; the time and place of voting, as well as important regulations on election day.

Many other coastal localities are also urgently completing preparations for election day. According to Mr. Tran Xuan Tuc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Election Steering Committee of Phu Yen ward, the locality currently has 18,279 households with 62,428 residents living in 23 neighborhoods. To serve the election process, the ward has arranged 23 polling stations in residential areas and an additional polling station at a military unit, ensuring service for 46,479 voters.

Voters in Song Cau ward are seeking information about candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term.

"All preparations have been implemented synchronously, meticulously, and in accordance with procedures and regulations. We hope that election day will truly become a festival for the entire nation, where each voter can exercise their right to self-governance through their ballot," Mr. Tuc emphasized.

During a recent inspection of election preparations, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Thanh, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, requested coastal localities to proactively review voter lists, especially those engaged in fishing and aquaculture who frequently go to sea or work in bays, in order to develop timely information and communication plans.

The comrade also requested that localities continue to strengthen propaganda work through various flexible forms, suitable to the specific characteristics of coastal areas, helping people understand the time and place of voting and actively participate in the election. Polling stations need to prepare adequate facilities at polling areas; strengthen inspection and guidance to ensure favorable and safe conditions for voters when participating in the election.
