Nestled peacefully along Huynh Thuc Khang road and surrounded by the towering coconut trees characteristic of the coastal region, Mui Ne fishing village always holds a special allure for visitors who happen to pass by. Thousands of fishing boats of all sizes and vibrant colors dot the sea, creating a unique beauty for this fishing village.
From a high vantage point, the basket boats resemble vibrant accents against the blue sea, reflecting the unique working life of the fishermen in Mui Ne. It is this simple beauty that captivates even the most discerning tourists.

Noah Zimmer and his family, German tourists on a vacation in Mui Ne, were captivated by the idyllic beauty of this fishing village. He shared: “We took a jeep tour. They took us to Fairy Stream, Bau Trang Sand Dunes, Pink Sand Dunes, and stopped by Mui Ne fishing village when the sun was shining. The scenery was amazing. We sat for a long time admiring its pristine, peaceful beauty. The image of the colorful fishing boats impressed us and will be remembered long after we leave Vietnam.”

Many photographers have come here to create their works. From images of small, colorful basket boats, sun-drenched fishing nets, to scenes of fishermen diligently mending their nets, all become emotionally rich moments, authentically reflecting the lives of coastal fishermen.

As the sun just rises above the horizon, the landscape seems to awaken. The sound of waves lapping against the boats, mingled with the rhythmic clicking of engines returning after a long night of fishing, heralds the start of a new day.
The fishing village is always at its busiest in the early morning. In contrast to the tranquil surroundings, boats dock, bringing with them "gifts from the ocean"—baskets overflowing with shrimp, fish, crabs, and other seafood—creating a vibrant picture of the local people's lives.
On shore, traders had arrived early, and as soon as the boats came in, they started quoting prices and engaging in lively exchanges. The sounds of buying and selling mingled, signaling a prosperous day for the fishermen.

Nguyen Van Hai, a fisherman from Mui Ne ward, said: "With the start of the southern fishing season, the weather has become less windy, so more boats are going out to sea. Besides the fishermen who have been catching schools of anchovies in recent days, the smaller boats that return daily also bring in a lot of seafood, and with prices currently high, the fishermen are making a profit."
Baskets of fresh, mixed fish—scad, grouper, mackerel, anchovies, etc.—are quickly passed through the hands of traders. These baskets of fish are sorted and transported to local markets for retail sale.

Not far from there, the seafood market catering to tourists is equally bustling. A unique feature of this seafood market is that vendors sell their goods in basins; small shellfish like jumping snails, paper snails, clams, etc., are sold in whole basins for several hundred thousand dong.
The seafood here is diverse, ranging from lobsters and prawns to squid and grouper, attracting tourists who come to visit and buy them as gifts. Ms. Thanh Huong, a vendor at Mui Ne seafood market, said: "During holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), this place is very lively. Tourists visit the fishing village and stop by to buy seafood to enjoy at their hotels. For tourists who want to eat on the spot, we also assist with cooking, boiling, steaming, etc., and package fresh seafood if they wish to buy it as gifts for relatives."

Besides the luxurious "resort capital" or the majestic shifting sand dunes, Mui Ne fishing village still chooses its own unique, slow-paced, and rustic way of life. Through the years, Mui Ne fishing village has remained simple, retaining its poetic beauty, harmonizing with the breath of the fishermen, creating a peaceful countryside.
Mui Ne is considered one of the most beautiful coastal areas in the southeastern part of the province and is set to become a national tourist area in the future, a leading destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

With beautiful sunshine, calm seas, and a long holiday, it's the ideal time for tourists to visit, experience, and explore this peaceful land. Mui Ne fishing village is not just a destination, but also a place that preserves unique cultural values, closely linked to the simple life of the fishermen of this coastal region.
Mui Ne is increasingly becoming an important highlight on the Lam Dong tourism map, contributing to promoting the local image to friends both domestically and internationally.
