The trust is placed in the areas undergoing reconstruction after the natural disaster.
In the joyful atmosphere of election day, along with nearly 1.2 million voters across Lao Cai province, 512 voters from Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, enthusiastically went to the polling station to exercise their rights and civic duties. Notably, this election took place against the backdrop of the locality having recently suffered heavy damage from natural disasters, with many households having to relocate to new resettlement areas.

Despite the many difficulties and irreplaceable losses, the atmosphere at the polling station in Lang Nu village remained vibrant and warm on election day. From early morning, residents gathered in large numbers at the resettlement area's cultural center to participate in the opening ceremony and cast their votes.
Speaking to reporters, the head of Lang Nu village, Hoang Van Diep, said that after the natural disaster, the lives of the people are gradually stabilizing. Election Day is not only an important political event but also an opportunity for the people to express their faith in the leadership of the Party and the State, as well as their expectations for the development of their homeland in the new era.

To ensure the people's right to vote, the Election Committee has made thorough preparations, from propaganda and decoration to providing complete information about the candidates. According to Lo Tien Huu, Head of the Party Building Committee of Phuc Khanh commune and Head of Election Committee No. 3, the propaganda is carried out regularly, helping people understand their rights and obligations, thereby actively participating and choosing worthy representatives.
The thorough preparation and sense of responsibility of the voters contributed to the overall success of the election, while affirming the people's trust in the political system, especially in the context of the locality striving to overcome difficulties and rebuild life.
Expectations for a new life from votes of confidence.
Beyond simply exercising their civic rights, each voter in Nu Village also entrusted their ballots with practical hopes for the future. For them, this election holds special significance – it marks the beginning of a journey towards recovery and development after a natural disaster.

Early on the morning of March 15th, despite caring for her young child, Ms. Sam Thi Nhien was still ready to carry her two-month-old baby to the polling station to exercise her civic right. She shared that, having suffered a great loss when many family members were killed in the landslide, she sees voting as a way to look towards the future. “I hope to elect representatives who truly care about the people, help us stabilize our lives, and build a better village,” she shared.
Sharing the same belief, Ms. Sam Thi Dan, despite working far from home, traveled a long distance back to her hometown before the election day. For her, each election is an important opportunity to demonstrate responsibility to her homeland. "No matter where I go, I still want to return to cast my vote. I believe that those elected will contribute to the development of our homeland, especially during this difficult period," she said.
At the polling stations, many voters expressed their hope that the elected representatives would pay more attention to social welfare policies, supporting people in stabilizing their housing and developing their livelihoods, especially for households affected by natural disasters.
According to Lo Tien Huu, Head of the Party Building Committee of Phuc Khanh Commune and Head of Election Committee No. 3, the voter list in Nu Village was finalized 24 hours before the election due to the presence of 5 voters who were still missing after Typhoon Yagi in 2024 and 5 voters who had gone abroad for work. However, this did not diminish the sense of responsibility of the people. Everyone present in the locality actively participated, demonstrating their unity and determination towards the future.
Following the successful election, the confidence of voters in Lang Nu village has been further strengthened. They expect elected representatives to truly act as a bridge between the people and the government, listening to their thoughts and aspirations, and promptly reflecting and resolving practical local issues.
From the ballots cast in the resettlement area, a clear message is being sent: the people's trust is the foundation for all decisions. And it is this trust that will further motivate Nu Village to overcome difficulties and gradually build a new, more stable and sustainable life in the future.
