A "new look" for the residential area.

Ms. Le Thi Hoa from Ha Tay village said that to date, the people of Ha Tay village have joined forces and participated in many activities to build a "livable village". Previously, Ha Tay village was purely agricultural, so the people's awareness of the environment was simple. For example, the amount of household waste was very large, but collection was only done twice a week, causing organic waste to smell and pollute. Sometimes, animals would carry the waste everywhere, making the area unsightly. In particular, people often disposed of waste by burning it, causing environmental pollution.

Faced with this situation, Ha Tay village has intensified its propaganda and mobilization efforts to raise awareness and change the behavior, customs, and habits of its residents. To date, people have proactively sorted waste and used probiotics to compost organic waste into fertilizer. Specifically, leftover food, fruit peels, and organic waste are all put into containers for processing into fertilizer, resulting in very little waste being released into the environment. Many families only have to dispose of a very small amount of waste per week, or even none at all. As a result, the practice of throwing garbage onto the streets or into the river has ceased.

Ms. Duong Thi Mong from Ha Tay village said that, in addition to promoting and encouraging the adoption of a new lifestyle among the people, Nam Cua Viet commune has invested in equipping roadside garbage bins to help people easily "sort and dispose of waste in the designated places." Villages and hamlets have established waste collection teams. Furthermore, many businesses and successful people from the village working far away have actively helped and supported with funds and materials to concrete village roads and alleys, build village gates, etc. More trees and flowers have been planted along the roads. As a result, the roads are clean and tidy; and the sense of community and neighborly solidarity has become stronger. The people of Ha Tay village have recognized their role as key players in building the New Rural Area and have actively participated through concrete actions with a spirit of voluntarism.

Improving the quality of life for the people.

The entire village of Ha Tay currently has nearly 817 households. According to the village head, Hoang Van Tien, the most noticeable change in the village is the investment in the construction, upgrading, and expansion of the rural road system. All roads are equipped with street lighting. The Ha Tay village cultural center is currently being renovated and upgraded. The grounds will be planted with flowers and trees, and integrated with a sports field to serve the needs of the villagers for cultural activities and physical exercise. In particular, thanks to effective propaganda and mobilization efforts, the villagers' sense of responsibility for environmental protection has significantly improved. Notably, the movement to plant flowers, ornamental plants, and shade trees; and to clean village roads and alleys... has been implemented and maintained well, making an important contribution to building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful rural environment.

Recognizing that the environment directly impacts the quality of life of its residents, Ha Tay village will diversify its propaganda content in the coming time, actively guiding people on how to classify waste in their daily lives into three groups: For easily biodegradable organic waste such as leftover food, fruit peels, spoiled vegetables, dry leaves, etc., they will dig mobile pits in the garden for disposal, or use plastic buckets with holes drilled in the bottom and sides, then daily pour organic waste into them and use microbial preparations to compost it into fertilizer for plants. For recyclable and reusable waste such as metal, plastic bottles, and paper, they will be sold as scrap. Inorganic waste that is difficult to decompose, such as plastic bags, ceramics, and glass, will be collected and transported for processing.

Following the merger, Nam Cua Viet commune quickly stabilized its organization and leveraged its advantages to become a shining example in the province's new rural development movement. Building on the foundation of two communes that achieved advanced new rural development standards and one commune that achieved standard new rural development, Nam Cua Viet commune has now completed all 19 criteria for a new rural commune and is striving towards achieving advanced new rural development standards before 2030.

Ha Tay village will also continue to launch a movement to plant trees and flowers along the roads; encourage people to regularly clean the village roads and alleys; practice a civilized lifestyle, and build a green, clean, beautiful, and safe environment. In addition, they will install more streetlights along the village roads and alleys, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and public order.

The construction and maintenance of a green, clean, and beautiful environment have brought many changes to Ha Tay village. The quality of life for the people in Ha Tay village has improved both materially and spiritually. This has given the people of Ha Tay village more motivation to actively participate in building a new rural area.
