The Prime Minister has just approved the addition of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway route to the planning scheme, located within Ca Mau province.
On January 7th, Mr. Du Minh Hung, Director of the Department of Transport of Ca Mau province, stated that following the Prime Minister 's decision to add the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway to the road network plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the province is implementing the next steps.
The Ho Chi Minh Highway section from Nam Can to Dat Mui passes through Ngoc Hien district (Ca Mau province).
"Specifically, this involves preparing a detailed plan and proposing investment policies for the project. The project will be invested by Ca Mau province, and the province is coordinating with the consulting unit to carefully calculate the total investment cost before releasing a specific figure," Mr. Hung added.
Previously, the Prime Minister had decided to add the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway to the road network plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
According to the plan, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway (CT.43) will be 90km long, with four lanes, and investment is scheduled to begin before 2030.
The expressway is expected to start in Ca Mau city and end in Ngoc Hien district (Ca Mau province).
According to the plan, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway will run parallel to National Highway 1 and the Ho Chi Minh Highway to Rach Goc town, then to Dat Mui (Ngoc Hien district).
This planning direction aims to take advantage of the potential for the formation and effective development of the Hon Khoai integrated seaport in the future.
Along with the East-West arterial routes, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway will be a pillar for the development of the marine economy, exploiting the potential and strengths of the southernmost point of the country, and ensuring national defense and security…
