The Khai Ha Festival of Tuong Son village marks the beginning of a new year of labor and production, and commemorates the contributions of our ancestors, especially General Nguyen Dung, a son of Tuong Son village; it vividly demonstrates the relationship between folk religious life and the patriotic tradition and the heroic spirit of resistance against foreign invaders of the local people.
The festival also carries the meaning of praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, bountiful harvests, and the health and happiness of the community.

The Khai Ha Festival of Tuong Son Village has just been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in June 2025. At the ceremony, on behalf of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the certificate and offered congratulatory flowers.

Following the solemn gong and drum opening ceremonies and the ceremonial part, the festival continues with folk games and community activities such as: ball snatching, throwing the ball, and traditional wrestling, attracting the participation of a large number of locals and tourists.
