The traditional Tran Temple Festival, including the Seal Opening Ceremony held on the night of the 14th and the early morning of the 15th of the first lunar month every year at the Tran Temple National Special Monument in Nam Dinh ward, has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.
This is a tradition of the Tran family, performed at Tien Mieu (formerly Tuc Mac Palace - now Thien Truong Temple), with profound humanistic significance: praying for national peace and prosperity, a peaceful and flourishing world, and for every family to share in the blessings of "Endless Blessings," entering the new year with good health, enthusiastic work, creativity, and success in learning and working.

The festival organizers announced that from 5:00 AM on the 15th day of the first lunar month (March 3rd), the distribution of amulets to the public and tourists will take place at three locations: the ceremonial hall, the exhibition hall, and the Trung Hoa Temple, all part of the Tran Temple-Thap Pagoda complex.
This year's festival features many unique activities such as: the Jade Palanquin procession, the water procession, the fish offering ceremony, the seal-opening ceremony, etc.
Today, the Tran Temple seal-opening ceremony not only embodies rich traditional cultural values and spiritual elements but also carries profound historical educational significance, reflecting the Vietnamese people's principle of "drinking water, remembering the source."
People from all walks of life expressed their reverence and gratitude for the merits of their ancestors, remembering the great contributions of the Tran dynasty in founding and defending Dai Viet, with the glorious Dong A spirit, having defeated the Mongol-Yuan invaders three times.
