Attending the ceremony, the Vietnamese Paralympic Team consisted of 30 members, led by Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department, Le Thi Hoang Yen. The presence of the delegations at the flag-raising ceremony demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, respect, and equality, core values that the ASEAN Para Games always strive for.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Organizing Committee of the 13th ASEAN Para Games extended a warm welcome to the participating delegations, while emphasizing the overarching message of this year's Games through the slogan "Create Pride Together." Accordingly, the ASEAN Para Games is not only a regional sporting arena but also a space for athletes to spread the spirit of striving, affirm their self-worth, and create shared pride for each nation and each individual.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Paralympic Team, Team Leader Le Thi Hoang Yen presented a commemorative gift to the representatives of the Organizing Committee of the 13th Southeast Asian Paralympic Games: a Bat Trang ceramic teapot – a traditional handicraft product deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture – as a token of gratitude and congratulations to the host country.

Immediately following the ceremonial part, a vibrant and warm artistic program welcoming the delegations participating in the 13th ASEAN Para Games took place. Taking inspiration from cats—a distinctive cultural symbol of Nakhon Ratchasima—the performances, imbued with local traditions, served as a friendly greeting and demonstrated the host country's hospitality towards disabled athletes from across Southeast Asia.

According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Para Games will take place on the evening of January 20th. Weightlifter Le Van Cong will serve as the flag bearer for the Vietnamese Paralympic team at the opening ceremony.
