Lewandowski officially became a Chicago Fire player after leaving Barcelona. The Polish striker signed a two-year contract with the team currently ranked third in the MLS Eastern Conference with 26 points after 14 games.
Chicago Fire is also investing in facilities, including a new practice range and a dedicated McDonald's Park stadium, scheduled to open in 2028.
Lewandowski will turn 38 on August 21st. He could make his debut for his new team in the match against Vancouver on July 16th. Before moving to the US, the Polish striker won three La Liga titles with Barcelona , scoring 119 goals in 192 matches.
Wearing the colors of Bayern Munich and Dortmund, he scored 312 goals in 384 matches, winning the Bundesliga top scorer title multiple times and winning 10 German national championships with his teams.
