The Vietnamese team will have two home matches in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ) against Indonesia (December 15) and Myanmar (December 21). The Vietnamese team's schedule is quite favorable in the journey to win a ticket to the semi-finals.

In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Vietnamese team beat the Philippines 2-0 and 3-2. However, the team under the guidance of former coach Philippe Troussier lost both matches to Indonesia with scores of 0-1 and 0-3.

It is expected that the Vietnamese team will gather on November 21 and depart for Korea to train before participating in the AFF Cup 2024.
