Updating the situation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Russian Ministry of Defense recently reported on the progress of its special military operation.
Russian forces continue their campaign to neutralize Ukrainian Armed Forces formations in the Kursk region.
In 24 hours, Ukraine's losses in Kursk were: 240 soldiers, 2 armored personnel carriers, 15 armored fighting vehicles, 17 motorized vehicles, 2 US-made Paladin self-propelled artillery systems, 1 artillery piece, 1 mortar, 4 UAV command posts, and 1 ammunition depot. Six Ukrainian servicemen surrendered.

In the direction of Kharkiv, the Russian Sever Army Group attacked the formations of one motorized infantry brigade and one territorial defense brigade of Ukraine near Metallovka, Granov, and Volchansk (Kharkiv region).
Ukraine's losses for the day included: 25 soldiers, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 4 motorized vehicles, and 3 artillery pieces.
In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Army Group gained more advantageous lines and positions. They attacked Ukrainian formations consisting of 4 mechanized brigades, 1 airborne brigade, and 2 mechanized infantry brigades.
Ukraine's losses in the north were: 320 soldiers, 4 vehicles, and 5 field artillery pieces, including one British-made FH-70 155 mm howitzer. Two ammunition depots were destroyed.
In the Avdeevka direction, Russia's Tsentr military group improved the situation along the front line. They attacked formations consisting of 6 mechanized brigades, 3 Jaeger brigades, 2 assault brigades, 1 airborne brigade, 1 UAV brigade, 1 Ukrainian assault regiment, 1 marine brigade, and 2 Ukrainian National Guard brigades.
Ukraine's losses in the north were: 475 soldiers, 1 M113 armored personnel carrier, 1 US-made HMMWV armored fighting vehicle, and 5 motorized vehicles. Recently, Russian TV channel Zvezda reported that the Pantsir-S air defense missile system of the Russian armed forces accurately calculated the timing to shoot down a Ukrainian armed forces UAV in the Kursk region.
The moment of the attack on the target was captured in a video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

To shoot down airborne targets, the Pantsir-S is equipped with 12 anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, the system is equipped with two twin-barreled 30 mm cannons with a 1,400-round ammunition load.
The Pantsir-S air defense missile system's weapons allow it to engage any airborne attack vehicle within its established operational range.
UAVs attack a major Russian oil refinery.
According to Pravda, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that Ukrainian drones attacked the Ufimsky oil refinery in the Russian city of Ufa. The attacked site is located more than 1,500km from the Ukrainian border.
According to Russian Telegram channels, multiple explosions occurred at the Ufimsky plant at 2:38 a.m. (local time).
Meanwhile, the SHOT Telegram channel, linked to Russian special services, reported that a fire broke out at the Ufimsky factory, covering an area of 100 square meters.
According to Kovalenko, Ufimsky is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. Its capacity is approximately 20 million tons of oil per year. The Ukrainian official also stated that Ufimsky plays a strategically important role for the Russian military, as the refinery is part of a group of enterprises supplying fuel to the Russian armed forces.
