Art flourishes in open spaces.

The Octagonal House has long been a familiar cultural meeting place – a place where tradition and modernity intersect, where memory and the rhythm of contemporary life meet. In this space, music is no longer confined to the stage but spreads naturally, connecting artists with audiences, creating a truly "open stage" where all distances are erased.

The artists participating in the program all expressed their excitement at performing in a special space, at the crossroads of East and West, a meeting place of love for Hanoi culture and the world . Under the Octagonal House, amidst the pristine white and gentle fragrance of thousands of trumpet flowers, the performances touched the emotions of the audience directly, profoundly, and left a lasting impression.

Performing in the show, diva My Linh shared that although she had performed many times at open stages and pedestrian areas in the capital, singing at the Octagonal House this time brought her special emotions. For the diva of Vietnamese music, this was her first time standing on this stage, a place associated with childhood memories from her time at the Hanoi Children's Palace right next door.

Singer My Linh expressed her honor and joy at being part of the first episode of the program, because as someone born and raised in Hanoi, contributing to meaningful activities for her hometown is something she always cherishes.

“I appreciate and value the idea of the Hanoi authorities in reviving the community art movement in this heritage space. I hope that artists from many fields will join hands to create unique programs, build a warm cultural space for the people, and leave a beautiful impression on visitors from all over the world,” singer My Linh expressed.

In addition, the singer also conveyed a message hoping for audience support by actively participating and spreading the word so that the community can enjoy artistic values in the heart of the city.

Appearing in a music program at the Octagonal House, singer Dinh Manh Ninh affirmed that participating in artistic activities for the community is a valuable opportunity for him personally. The male singer shared that he always cherishes and feels honored when artists can contribute positive values to social activities, bringing practical meaning to the public.

The highlight of this appearance is the shift in musical thinking. Dinh Manh Ninh said that, under the direction of music director Anh Tu, familiar songs have been revamped to suit a contemporary feel. In particular, this is also the first time the male singer has tried his hand at the song "Remembering Hanoi's Autumn," bringing a more youthful and fresh style. Through these melodies, singer Dinh Manh Ninh hopes to bring the audience moments of relaxation, helping everyone enjoy the atmosphere of the capital city in the most profound and emotional way.

One of the highlights of the program was the performance of the song "Heal the World" in the Grand Finale. Among the performers, the appearance of 8-year-old Huynh Anh Khoi, a student at Alfred Nobel School in Hanoi, attracted much attention. Of Ghanaian and Vietnamese descent, Anh Khoi impressed not only with his clear, expressive voice but also with the meaningful image of him singing amidst the cultural atmosphere of Hanoi.

Although Anh Khoi had performed this song many times with the Be Singer Center on various stages, this was the first time he had sung it in an open space like the Octagonal House. Sharing his thoughts after the performance, he expressed his emotion and pride at being a part of such a meaningful program as "Peaceful Hanoi".

The image of the young boy, singing alongside other Vietnamese children and artists, has become a beautiful moment. It is not only a harmonious blend of music but also a vivid symbol of cultural exchange and the spirit of international integration that is clearly evident in the cultural life of the capital city.

In that setting, each performance carried messages of peace, love, and connection, touching the hearts of the audience and making everyone love and be proud of the city they live in even more.

Melodies that spread love for Hanoi.

Beyond delivering spectacular performances, the program left a lasting impression on the audience. Thousands of domestic and international viewers, across generations, found their own unique emotions as they immersed themselves in the artistic atmosphere in the heart of the capital city.

Mr. Pham Chu Thang (88 years old), residing on Tran Hung Dao Street (Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi), was one of the early attendees to watch the program. As a member of the Hanoi Senior Citizens' Outdoor Health Club, he always pays special attention to the city's cultural and artistic activities.

“I was deeply moved by the ‘Peaceful Hanoi’ program. The performances were all meaningful and relatable to everyday life. The atmosphere was very warm, creating a friendly feeling like a gathering of art lovers,” he shared.

He also argued that organizing art programs in open spaces like the Octagonal House not only helps people easily access art, but also contributes to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the capital city.

Many young audience members also expressed their delight at being able to enjoy a quality art performance in a public space. For Le Quynh Anh (25 years old, living in Thanh Xuan ward, Hanoi), the "Peaceful Hanoi" live concert not only provided moments of relaxation but also helped her better appreciate the beauty of the city – a Hanoi that is both ancient and modern, integrated yet deeply rooted in its identity.

"Peaceful Hanoi" has come to an end, but the melodies and emotions linger in the hearts of the audience, spreading pride in a peaceful capital city and faith in the cultural values being preserved and promoted in contemporary life.
