After a series of leaked images of the new generation of iPhone, rumor expert Majin Bu has just continued to post leaked photos comparing the thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro with the iPhone 17 Air.

Specifically, leaked computer graphics (CAD) renderings of the iPhone 17 Air show an incredibly thin design, nearly twice as thin as the iPhone 17 Pro. Accordingly, the latest reports reveal that the iPhone 17 Air will be around 5.5 mm to 6 mm thick. The maximum thickness, including the camera, will be 9.5 mm.

Analyst Jeff Pu also made similar claims. In a note seen by BGR, Pu said the iPhone 17 Air will be 5.5-6mm thick. The expert also reiterated other rumors such as a 6.6-inch display, an A19 chip and 8GB of RAM, as well as support for Apple Intelligence.

Also according to Pu's note, the iPhone 17 Air will have a 24MP front camera, 48MP rear camera with 7P lens, Face ID, titanium case, Apple's 5G C1 modem and 35W fast charging.

BGR suggests that this could be one of the most significant iPhone updates in years. After the underwhelming iPhone 16, Apple may be looking to redesign the iPhone line, improve its chips, and develop Apple Intelligence.

Previously, on social network X, leaker Sonny Dickson shared an image of the alleged case of the iPhone 17 Air, the ultra-thin smartphone model expected to be launched by Apple at the end of the year.

The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be just 5.5mm thick at its thinnest point. To achieve this figure, Apple had to make some trade-offs, such as reducing the rear camera to a single lens.

Despite having only one rear camera, the iPhone 17 Air still brings a highlight thanks to the changed camera cluster. After many rumors, Dickson's image shows the shape of the new camera cluster. Based on the image, the iPhone 17 Air case has a pill-shaped notch on the top, horizontal and extending the entire width of the device.
