Currently, many universities have announced their projected admission plans for 2026, with some announcing tuition fee increases compared to last year.
For example, the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University , Hanoi, has announced a projected tuition fee of 42 million VND/year for the 2026-2027 academic year for the English, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean language majors, an increase compared to the previous year. Last year, these majors only had a tuition fee of 38 million VND/year.
For the majors in Russian Language, Arabic Language, Transnational Culture and Communication, and Teaching Vietnamese as a Foreign Language, the expected tuition fee is 31 million VND/year. Last year, these majors had tuition fees ranging from 16.9-21 million VND, representing an increase of 10-14.1 million VND/year.
For teacher training programs, tuition fees are applied according to state regulations.
The tuition for this school's international programs was around 65 million VND per year last year, but it is expected to increase to 67 million VND per year this year.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, also plans to charge tuition fees ranging from 19.1 to 40 million VND per year for the 2026-2027 academic year, depending on the major, an increase of approximately 2 million VND per year compared to last year.
The highest fees are for Computer Science and Information, Data Science, Semiconductor Technology, Electronic and Informatics Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, etc. The university stated that programs that have undergone quality accreditation will apply fees according to the economic-technical standard scheme, with an increase of no more than 10% each year.
Meanwhile, the Environment, Health and Safety sector has the lowest salary, at approximately 19.1 million VND/year. Several other sectors are expected to earn around 19.3 million VND/year, including: Meteorology and Climatology, Oceanography, Water Resources and Environment, Geology, etc.
The Vietnam-Japan University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, also charges 35 million VND/year for students in the Civil Engineering major, an increase of 10 million VND compared to last year. Tuition fees for other majors remain unchanged at 58 million VND/year. The university commits to not increasing tuition fees throughout the entire course of study if students complete the standard training plan.

Meanwhile, the National Economics University anticipates tuition fees for its standard program to be around 20-28 million VND per academic year, an increase of 2-3 million VND compared to 2025.
Tuition fees for advanced, high-quality, application-oriented (POHE) programs taught in English will range from approximately 45 to 70 million VND per academic year, an increase of 4-5 million VND compared to 2025. The tuition fee increase will be capped at 10% annually and will be implemented according to a government decree.
The University of Civil Engineering will charge an average tuition fee of approximately 20.9 million VND per academic year for its standard undergraduate programs (Engineer/Architect/Bachelor) in the 2026-2027 academic year (the university charges per credit), an increase of 2.4 million VND compared to the previous year. The tuition fee increase is being implemented according to regulations.
The Vietnam Women's Academy also announced projected tuition fees of approximately 575,000-630,000 VND per credit, depending on the major and training program. This is also an increase compared to last year. The school stated that tuition fees will be adjusted annually and according to state regulations for schools that are fully autonomous in terms of recurrent expenditure.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication also announced the projected tuition fees for students in the 2026-2030 cohort: approximately 560,000 VND/credit for regular programs and approximately 1.18 million VND/credit for programs that have achieved quality accreditation.
Tuition fees are waived for students in political theory teacher training programs such as Philosophy, Scientific Socialism, Political Economy, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh Thought.
Tuition fee increases are typically outlined by universities in their annual admissions plans. According to these plans, many universities anticipate increasing tuition fees by 8-15% each year.
