On the evening of December 15th, the Vietnamese national team hosted the Indonesian national team at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho province) in the third match of Group B of the 2024 Southeast Asian Football Championship (AFF Cup). It wasn't until the 77th minute that the Vietnamese team broke the deadlock with a moment of brilliance from Quang Hai. From outside the penalty area, Quang Hai unexpectedly unleashed a powerful shot that hit the crossbar. Immediately afterwards, Tien Linh controlled the ball with his chest, and Quang Hai appeared at the right moment to fire a low, powerful shot that beat the Indonesian goalkeeper, giving Vietnam a 1-0 lead.
