Long An: Tan Hung focuses on digital transformation.

Over the past period, all levels and sectors in Tan Hung district, Long An province, have focused on comprehensively and synchronously implementing the digital transformation program in all fields, achieving many results and contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the district.

Raising public awareness about digital transformation.

In 2024, Tan Hung district focused on directing and implementing digital transformation in a coordinated manner, achieving many positive results. The district developed digital infrastructure to support digital transformation, the development of digital government, digital economy , and digital society. Smartphone subscribers reached nearly 86% of the total subscribers; and over 90% of households had broadband fiber optic connections.

Furthermore, the district has accelerated the process of collecting and activating electronic identification accounts for citizens. Nearly 86% of the adult population has electronic identification accounts. Based on this, agencies and units have effectively utilized the national population database to facilitate the resolution of administrative procedures through the electronic "one-stop" system.

On the foundation of digital government, digital economy, and digital society, many positive results have also been achieved. The rate of electronic document exchange at the district level reached 100%; the rate of work files processed online at the district level reached over 90%, and at the commune level over 93.5%; the rate of electronic document exchange with digital signatures in the district reached nearly 100%; and the rate of online payment applications on the National Public Service Portal out of the total number of public service payment transactions reached nearly 74%.

The province is implementing the introduction and promotion of OCOP products on the e-commerce platform nongsan.buudien.vn managed by the Provincial Post Office . Currently, 9 OCOP products are listed on the Post Office's e-commerce platform and the district's website, and 1 OCOP product is listed on the Long An e-commerce platform.

Strengthening information and communication efforts, coordinating with telecommunications businesses to focus on converting all 2G mobile subscribers to 4G in the district; coordinating the implementation of cashless payments; providing personal digital signatures; and offering fixed-line broadband services to people in the district;…

According to Phan Hoa Nong, Vice Chairman of the Tan Hung District People's Committee, in the coming time, district agencies and units, and the People's Committees of communes and towns will strengthen leadership and management in implementing digital transformation. They will effectively utilize and exploit common software and deployed systems to meet management and operational requirements, such as document management and operational software, official email, digital signatures, work files, digitized records, and websites.

Implement support measures to bring agricultural producers onto e-commerce platforms and ensure that 100% of local OCOP products are introduced and promoted on e-commerce platforms; increase the rate of online public services with online applications; and increase the rate of digitization of administrative procedure documents and results.
