The Hai Linh Ward Police are sponsoring and supporting the care and upbringing of Le Ngoc Minh Tuan, a child from Hai Linh commune.
As an excellent student at Quang Thach Primary School in Tien Trang commune, Le Thi Phuong, born in 2016 and residing in Thach Dong village, consistently achieves the title of outstanding student and receives scholarships from the school. However, Phuong faces particularly difficult circumstances. Her father suffered from a terminal illness and passed away when she was only two years old. Her mother single-handedly raises three children, supporting their education; her older brother is frequently ill and requires long-term hospital treatment. The family currently lives in a severely dilapidated single-story house.
To provide timely encouragement and support to Le Thi Phuong and her family, the Tien Trang Commune Police have adopted her as a foster parent, providing care and support until she reaches 18 years of age. This support includes monthly visits from the commune police, offering encouragement and a fixed amount of 500,000 VND, along with gifts such as clothing, supplies, and school books.
In Nga Thang commune, with the spirit of "Serving the People" and ensuring no one is left behind, the commune's police force has taken under the wing of Ma Phuong Thao, residing in Hamlet 6, Thanh Lang. Thao is also a case of particularly difficult circumstances. Her mother passed away early, and she lives with her father, Ma Van Thuan. In 2025, Mr. Thuan unfortunately suffered a serious accident, resulting in severe injuries and a decline in his health, rendering him unable to work. Their house is dilapidated and unsuitable for living. Currently, Thao and Mr. Thuan are staying with her uncle and are being cared for.
Out of sympathy and compassion for the family's circumstances, the Nga Thang Commune Police have sponsored Ma Phuong Thao, providing her with 500,000 VND per month to help her with her studies, living expenses, and overall well-being. In addition to the monthly cash support, the commune police also provide assistance with health insurance, textbooks, school supplies, transportation to school, and scholarships, aiming to create the best possible conditions for her to continue her education and pursue her dreams.
In Hai Linh commune, the local police have taken in the care of Le Ngoc Minh Tuan, born in 2017, residing in Tay Son residential area. Tuan is an excellent student at Hai Linh Primary School and receives a scholarship from the school; he is well-liked by his teachers and friends. However, Tuan comes from a particularly difficult family situation. His father passed away from cancer, and his mother is the main breadwinner for the family, supporting three siblings through their education. However, her poor health has reduced her ability to work, and she lacks a stable income. Tuan himself suffers from megacolon and requires frequent hospital check-ups. His older sister also suffers from thrombocytopenia, leading to blood thinning and frequent fainting spells.
In the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," the Hai Linh Ward Police have taken on the responsibility of sponsoring and caring for Le Ngoc Minh Tuan. The Women's Association and Youth Union will provide monthly support, including visits, encouragement, and a fixed monthly allowance of 500,000 VND, along with other assistance, to help the child study better.
To date, women's associations at all levels within the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have sponsored hundreds of children with particularly difficult circumstances in the province. This support is provided on a monthly or quarterly basis for a period of 1-5 years, with an average monthly amount of approximately 500,000 VND. This is a highly humane program, demonstrating the role and responsibility of police officers and soldiers towards the community, especially towards poor children with particularly difficult circumstances. It aims to help these children gain more strength, confidence, and aspirations to excel in their studies, creating a solid foundation for their future.
With the results achieved, the "Godmother - Connecting Love" program has received positive attention and support from all levels of associations and has spread widely throughout the community and society. One of the special features of the program is its emphasis on voluntarism and the loving actions of the godmothers at all levels. Through this, it conveys a beautiful humanitarian spirit; and at the same time helps orphaned children in difficult circumstances have the opportunity to be cared for and educated in the loving embrace of the community.
