Chelsea's 3-0 victory over bottom-placed Wolverhampton lifted them to third place with 20 points.
Newly promoted Sunderland (19 points) remain in the top four of the Premier League after surprisingly drawing with Arsenal.
Tottenham and Aston Villa are in 5th and 6th place respectively with 18 points each, but the London team is ranked higher due to a better goal difference (+9 compared to +3).
Manchester United just had a nail-biting 2-2 draw at home against Tottenham. This valuable point helped them climb to 7th place, level on points with reigning champions Liverpool. Both teams have the same goal difference (+1), however, the "Red Devils" are still ahead due to having scored more goals (19 compared to 18).
Coach Amorim's team is showing a very promising performance, going unbeaten in their fifth consecutive match. Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to disappoint their fans.
