Man Utd have finalized personal terms with Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund and are preparing to send an offer to Atalanta.
After signing goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter, Man Utd are pushing ahead with plans to recruit Hojlund, who scored 10 goals in 34 games for Atalanta last season. According to Goal , negotiations for personal terms are progressing quickly because Hojlund has been a Manchester United fan since childhood.
The challenge for Man Utd is convincing Atalanta to release the player at a reasonable price. The Italian club is demanding $78 million in cash for the 20-year-old striker. Man Utd would find it difficult to pay this fee due to concerns about Financial Fair Play regulations. Therefore, the Old Trafford club wants to include a player in the deal. This could be either midfielder Fred or Donny van de Beek.

If Atalanta doesn't agree to this plan, Man Utd will likely have to sell more players to free up funds. This could cause delays in the deal. Man Utd doesn't want this because PSG are also interested in Hojlund.
Erik ten Hag wants Manchester United to sign a true striker, as neither Anthony Martial nor Marcus Rashford have met his expectations. However, finding a top-class goalscorer is not easy at the moment. Manchester United are also eyeing Harry Kane, but Tottenham are unwilling to let the England international join a Premier League rival. Napoli are demanding too much for Victor Osimhen.
Hojlund is a budget-friendly option for Man Utd right now. The 1.91m tall striker is considered a promising talent and is believed to be able to adapt to manager Ten Hag's tactics.
If they can quickly resolve their striker situation, Man Utd hope to sign another central midfielder. Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat or Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka are likely targets.
