Group A has seen the emergence of big teams like Bayern Munich and Man Utd after only the first two rounds of draws. However, the remaining teams in this group are far less renowned, namely FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray. Overall, Bayern Munich and Man Utd have a very good chance of progressing if they perform to their full potential.
Group F deserves to be called the only "group of death" in this year's Champions League group stage. PSG's strength is still highly regarded if Mbappe plays to his full potential. PSG is in the same group as Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle United.
Man Utd are in the same group as Bayern Munich.
Defending champions Manchester City are in Group G along with RB Leipzig (Germany), Red Star Belgrade (Serbia), and BSC Young Boys (Switzerland). Pep Guardiola's team should have little difficulty securing first place in the group with five or six wins.
Group H sees Barca facing Porto, Shaktar Donetsk, and Royal Antwerp. Frenkie de Jong and his teammates can be pleased with this draw. If they are eliminated like last season, Barca will only have themselves to blame, as this is a group that many of Europe's biggest clubs would want to be in.
The UEFA Champions League will kick off on September 20th. The six group stage matches will conclude on December 14th. Matches will be played in a double round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Round of 16. The third-placed teams from each group will drop down to the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.
The draw for the Round of 16 of the 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League will be held on December 18, 2023. The first leg of this round will take place in February 2024, and the second leg in March 2024. The quarter-finals will be played over two legs in April 2024. The first leg of the semi-finals will take place on May 1 and 2, 2024, and the second leg on June 8 and 9, 2024. The UEFA Champions League final will be held on June 2, 2024.
