News of diva Mariah Carey acquiring a Faraday Future was announced after the FF 91 2.0 and FFZERO1 concept car prominently featured in Carey's recently released official music video for "Type Dangerous." Mariah Carey's latest music video also features a special appearance by Mr. Beast – one of the world's leading influencers – and quickly attracted significant attention from the global entertainment and music industry.
Faraday Future emphasizes that Mariah Carey's ownership of the FF 91 2.0 marks a new phase in the brand's global cultural co-creation strategy, while reinforcing its positioning as the "Ultimate AI Luxury Car." Carey's addition to the client list also expands Faraday Future's roster of celebrity owners, including many influential figures in entertainment and sports . The company views this client base as proof of the brand's growing appeal.
Furthermore, according to advertisements from the American electric car manufacturer, the FF 91 2.0 – a car considered an icon of the future – will incorporate the most advanced technologies. However, the reality is not as optimistic as the company's claims. Faraday Future is an electric vehicle manufacturer founded by Chinese businessman Jia Yueting in May 2014, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, USA. Despite being established over 10 years ago, Faraday Future has faced considerable skepticism regarding its production and delivery capabilities. Since beginning production of the FF 91 model in March 2023, the company has only delivered a total of 16 vehicles – 10 of which were sold in 2023 and an additional 4 in 2024.
In 2025, the company's business situation worsened even further, selling only 2 cars in the entire first quarter, with a modest revenue of $300,000 for the whole quarter. Financial reports indicated that Faraday Future incurred a net loss of over $48.2 million. Notably, many of those cars were sold to company executives or celebrities rather than general customers.
