The home team took a 2-0 lead within 11 minutes thanks to a brace from Luis Suarez. Before the end of the first half, Robert Taylor scored to give Inter Miami a 3-goal lead.

The second half of the match saw a brilliant performance from Messi. In the 57th and 62nd minutes, the Argentine superstar scored a brace, sealing a 5-0 victory for the home team at Lockhart Stadium.
