Microsoft has just launched the new Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7, marking the first time the Surface line has a Copilot+ PC equipped with an Intel Lunar Lake chip.

However, these Microsoft devices are only for business customers and have a rather high starting price of $1499 (approximately 37.6 million VND). The two new Surface models will be sold alongside the current Snapdragon-powered versions. However, products running Intel chips will only be sold through Microsoft's enterprise channel and other commercial channels.

Both the Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 run on Microsoft's Intel chips.

The Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7, both powered by Intel chips, can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 2nd-generation processors, 16GB or 32GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage. These devices also feature Microsoft's integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), delivering 40 TOPS (Ultra 5) or 48 TOPS (Ultra 7) performance and are Copilot+ certified.

In terms of design, the Intel and Snapdragon versions are almost identical, differing only in a few minor details. Both the Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 run on Intel chips with anti-reflective displays. The Surface Laptop 7 also has a card reader version, and the Surface Pro 11 integrates NFC. Additionally, the Surface Laptop 7 will have a 5G version by the end of 2025 (previously, only the Surface Pro had 5G).

The new Microsoft laptops running Intel chips are only available in two colors: Platinum and Black.

The Intel models are only available in Platinum and Black, while other colors are reserved for the Snapdragon versions. The Intel models are also significantly more expensive, starting at $1499 (approximately 37.6 million VND), compared to $1099 (27.5 million VND) for the enterprise Snapdragon models. This means users pay an extra $400 for a Surface Pro or Laptop running an Intel chip, in exchange for an anti-reflective display and x86 compatibility.

This is the second time Microsoft has launched Surface devices specifically for business customers. The previous devices were the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, both powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 1 chips and using an older design. The Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7, running on Intel chips, are now available for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin on February 18th, starting at $1499 (approximately 37.6 million VND).
