According to information from the National Load Dispatch Center, today (June 10), the northern power source will have some improvement due to the re-operation of a total of about 6 MW of capacity.
The reason is that a number of thermal power plants have had problems recently, such as Quang Ninh, Nghi Son 1, and Thai Binh 2, which have been urgently handled and remedied. In addition, in the past few days, some areas in the Northern Midlands and Mountains have had light rain, so some small hydroelectric reservoirs have added water to improve power generation.
According to the latest information from the Thai Binh 2 Petroleum Thermal Power Project Management Board, Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant has been trying to generate commercial power, handle problems to ensure the most electricity production for the country, and minimize the electricity shortage for the North.
Currently, the amount of water entering the lake is mainly to regulate the water to ensure the minimum flow, and hydroelectric power plants operate in moderation to generate electricity with the return water flow. Many plants still have to stop generating electricity, mainly concentrated in the North and North Central regions such as Son La, Lai Chau, Huoi Quang, Thac Ba, Tuyen Quang, Hua Na, and Trung Son to ensure the safety of the unit when operating with low flow and water head below the design.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity are constantly urging and finding all solutions to increase the operation of thermal power sources to cope with the shortage of water in large hydropower reservoirs.
