Southern Vietnam reaches 74,000 VND/kg.

Today, February 19, 2025, the price of live pigs recorded a sharp increase in provinces and cities across all three regions of Vietnam. In particular, the South reached a new peak at 74,000 VND/kg.

Northern region

Today's live pig prices (February 19, 2025) in the northern region have reversed course and increased again in Hung Yen and Hai Duong provinces, both rising by 1,000 VND/kg to reach 72,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this region fluctuates between 70,000 and 71,000 VND/kg. Among them, Yen Bai, Lao Cai , Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh have the lowest live pig prices in the region at 70,000 VND/kg.

Central and Central Highlands region

Similarly, today's live pig prices (February 19, 2025) in the Central and Central Highlands regions recorded a renewed upward trend in Thanh Hoa and Lam Dong, both increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, and in Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan, both increasing by 2,000 VND/kg.

Currently, live pig prices in this region range from 69,000 to 73,000 VND/kg. With the price increase this morning, Lam Dong is the locality with the highest price in the region at 73,000 VND/kg. Conversely, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, and Binh Dinh are selling live pigs at the lowest price in the region, at 69,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Along with the two aforementioned regions, pork prices in the Southern region today (February 19, 2025) continued their upward trend in localities such as Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Vinh Long, Kien Giang, and Ben Tre, increasing by 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg.

Currently, live pig prices in this region remain fluctuating between 70,000 and 74,000 VND/kg. Dong Nai and Ben Tre have the highest prices nationwide at 74,000 VND/kg. Many other localities such as Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, and Soc Trang also have the highest prices in the country at 73,000 VND/kg. Other provinces and cities in the region generally trade at around 70,000 - 72,000 VND/kg.

Overall, today's live pig prices (February 19, 2025) are showing a renewed upward trend across all three regions of the country. Currently, live pig prices are trading in the range of 69,000 – 74,000 VND/kg. In particular, some southern provinces have set the highest price in the country at 74,000 VND/kg.
