VNPT SmartCA digital signature service is free.

From September 2025, citizens have been able to create VNPT SmartCA digital signatures and register for free digital signature packages on the National Public Service Portal directly through the VNeID application.

VNPT hopes to facilitate the creation of at least one digital signature for every citizen.

This helps citizens easily use digital signatures for hundreds of public administrative procedures currently being carried out on the National Public Service Portal.

Starting in 2024, registering for SmartCA digital signatures has been possible directly on the VNeID application. Leveraging a platform with over 50 million users, every citizen can now activate their personal digital signature in just one minute with a few simple steps.

After activating their digital signature, users can continue to register for the PS0 package to use VNPT SmartCA digital signatures free of charge on public service portals for 12 months.

VNPT SmartCA digital signatures will help citizens quickly resolve administrative procedures such as birth registration, temporary residence registration, marriage registration, submitting applications for health insurance, unemployment insurance, education applications, etc., on national public service portals.

This not only helps people minimize transaction time and save costs, but also ensures transparency in management and operation at agencies, ministries, and localities, helping to enhance information security. With the policy of free digital signature creation and free digital signing for citizens on public service portals, VNPT hopes to create favorable conditions for every citizen to have at least one digital signature.

Then I used this digital signature to complete the procedure for obtaining a new citizen ID card on the public service portal. All the steps were very easy, convenient, and time-saving."
