The magnificent beauty of the Duomo cathedral in downtown Milan, Italy
No matter where you explore Milan, enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and admiring the majestic architecture - the Duomo Cathedral is still a must when coming to this city. We chose to sip a hot cup of cappuccino at the Gucci Cafe right in the middle of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping center next to the Duomo. Located in the heart of the city, this luxury fashion paradise is designed in the shape of a cross with a sophisticated glass dome. Inside the lavish architecture is a long row of the world's leading fashion stores such as Prada, Celine, Miu Miu, CHANEL, Louis Vuitton, Hermès... This is not only a magnificent dream for fashion lovers but also a destination containing the historical, cultural and architectural values of the whole city.
Away from the hustle and bustle, we went to the Palazzo Morando Museum of Italian Fashion History, which displays the entire flow of time from the Middle Ages to the present day. Walking around the museum, my friend happily recorded great knowledge about the outfits worn in this Mediterranean country 100 years ago to the pioneering steps that helped build the world's leading fashion industry. Lost in the medieval space, we felt like we were traveling back in time and taking a valuable history class. Not stopping there, we continued to the Armani Museum, the iconic building of Giorgio Armani. We were not only enlightened about the fashion philosophy and career story of this great designer, but also treated to visual feasts in terms of architecture, exhibition space and a variety of attractive art forms.

After immersing ourselves in the life of the Milanese people, the couple headed to the Brera area, located behind the famous Sforzesco Castle – a place with streets full of authentic Italian cuisine, delicious restaurants, small shops selling arts, crafts and “made in Italy” fashion. After enjoying a magherita pizza and a plate of excellent bolognese, we were recharged with energy to explore every picturesque corner of Brera and excitedly shopped at local stores with many carefully crafted, unique clothing designs, and chatted with interesting and hospitable local designers.
Without an invitation, we would not be able to attend the “fashion show” events held in Milan, but we could still enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the fashion festival season everywhere. Every corner of the street with ancient yellow walls, hundreds of years old European architecture and typical trams in Milan, all can become the backdrop for impressive fashion photos. The trendy look covers the whole city, it would not be strange to see a celebrity posing in a designer outfit or a model wearing a unique outfit, confidently walking, attracting all eyes. Learning cool camera angles from Vietnamese fashionistas such as Chau Bui, Quynh Anh Shyn or Co Em Trendy who used to pose, we took souvenir photos of each other to mark a memorable and meaningful day of experience.
Ending a long day at the “Golden Quadrilatero d'Oro” with the world's busiest shopping streets, we followed the cobbled streets of Monte Napoleone and Sant'Andrea filled with luxury brands. The shopping experience at Italian fashion houses such as GUCCI, Fendi, Versace, Bottega Veneta, ... right in the fashion capital here, will definitely be an extremely memorable feeling of spiritual satisfaction. While holding a cool, creamy gelato, walking and admiring the splendid fashion stores through the magnificent glass windows, reflecting the shimmering sunset, the two young women secretly felt how lucky they were to enjoy such beautiful moments in their lives.

Looking at the dynamic and artistic city in my sight, I realized that here, fashion is not a trend but the way Italians live. Fashion is in the style of each local, in the atmosphere that surrounds us, in every alley, every building, every signboard and in the hearts of tourists who come to Milan because they also want to live with the love of fashion in the deepest and most intense way.
