(To Quoc) - The 19th Dedication Awards Ceremony - 2025 will take place on the evening of March 5th at the Hanoi Grand Opera House, broadcast live on digital platforms. This year's awards ceremony marks the 20th anniversary of the Dedication Awards with many new features.
According to Mr. Le Xuan Thanh, Editor-in-Chief of the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency), the 2025 Dedication Awards, in addition to the Dedication Impression Award and the Inspirational Artist Award, will also include meaningful side activities such as awarding commemorative medals to recognize and honor individuals and organizations that have organized music activities with widespread impact, inspiration, and a deep impression on the public and professionals.
With the expansion into the sports field, starting this year, in addition to the traditional "dan day" (Vietnamese zither) logo and "hoc mi" (nightingale) trophy of the Dedication Music Awards, there will also be a separate logo and trophy for the Dedication Sports Awards.

The organizing committee has officially opened the public voting portal, which, along with the votes of journalists, will determine the winners of this year's Dedication Awards.
In particular, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Dedication Award, the organizing committee commissioned a special Dedication Award trophy in the shape of a nightingale, gilded with gold leaf according to traditional standards, to be auctioned off to support the "For a School for Children" charity program of the Sports and Culture newspaper.
Also marking its 20th anniversary, the Dedication Awards 2025 has expanded its reach to the continent through a collaboration with the Music Awards Japan. This award is organized and operated by the Culture and Entertainment Industries Promotion Association (CEIPA) of Japan.
This year's Japan Music Awards will take place on May 21-22 at the ROHM Theatre in Kyoto, featuring six main categories, including "Best Asian Song," which honors outstanding works from the region, along with 60 other subcategories.
According to Mr. Le Xuan Thanh, the Dedication Award Organizing Committee will participate as a voting member of this award and will annually cooperate with its partner CEIPA to nominate a Vietnamese artist (selected from the main category and other categories agreed upon by both parties) for CEIPA to award the International Special Award at the Japan Music Awards.
Mr. Taro Kumube, Executive Director of the Japan Music Awards 2025 Committee and a board member of the Japan Music Producers Federation – one of the five organizations operating CEIPA – shared: “We are in discussions with the Dedication Awards Organizing Committee to move towards a strong collaborative relationship. We are very much looking forward to the participation of experts in the Vietnamese music industry.”

Le Xuan Thanh, Editor-in-Chief of the Sports and Culture Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the 19th Dedication Awards, delivered a speech.
Initiated and organized by the Sports and Culture Newspaper since 2005, with nationwide participation from the press, the award expanded its scope to include sports in 2023, becoming a new ecosystem called Dedication, comprising two award systems: the Dedication Music Award and the Dedication Sports Award.
The Dedication Sports Awards, comprising four categories: Sports Personality of the Year, Sports Achievement of the Year, Young Sports Personality of the Year, and Aspiration for Dedication, aim to honor individuals or groups whose outstanding actions and contributions to the socialization of sports, igniting passion, inspiring and spreading positive values in the community, and contributing to the development of the sports movement nationwide.
According to the regulations, the categories of Sports Achievement of the Year and Dedication to Sports will be selected and awarded by the Dedication Sports Award Selection Council based on nominations from the Organizing Committee.
The categories of Sports Personality of the Year and Young Sports Personality of the Year have launched online voting for fans on the Dedication Awards 2025 website.
Based on the results of online fan voting combined with the voting results of the Selection Committee, the final results for the two categories, Sports Personality of the Year and Young Sports Personality of the Year, will be determined. The winner in each category will be the nominee with the highest score, based on the points from the Selection Committee and the number of votes from the public (the public accounts for 50%, the Selection Committee accounts for 50%).
The Sports Achievement of the Year category includes the following nominees: the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team winning third place in the FIVB Challenge Cup for the first time; the Vietnam Men's National Football Team winning the ASEAN Cup 2024; and the Vietnam Women's National Futsal Team winning the Southeast Asian Championship.
The nominees for the Sports Personality of the Year category include: Le Van Cong (Weightlifting); Nguyen Xuan Son (Football); and Trinh Thu Vinh (Shooting).

Vietnam national football team captain Do Duy Manh speaks at the press conference.
The nominees for the Young Sportsman of the Year category include: Nguyen Thi Huong (Canoeing); Vo Thi My Tien (Swimming); Tran Thi Nhi Yen (Athletics).
Sharing his feelings at the Awards Ceremony, central defender Do Duy Manh expressed his joy that the national men's football team was included in the list of nominees.
Duy Mạnh believes that winning the ASEAN Cup 2024 was the result of the collective effort of the entire team, the long-term efforts of Head Coach Kim Sang Sik, the players, each member of the coaching staff, the assistant coaches, the logistics team, and especially the support and encouragement of the numerous fans throughout the journey.
“Participating in the Sports Dedication Awards can be said to be a recognition of the athletes' efforts over the past year. The athletes and sports teams have also inspired fans, and I think all of them are deserving nominees for what sports have brought to life and to fans,” shared player Duy Manh.
