(CTO) - On June 30, at the 3rd session (the regular mid-year session of 2026), the People's Council of Can Tho City passed a resolution stipulating the criteria for establishing Civil Defense Teams and the criteria for the number of members of Civil Defense Teams in the city.

According to the resolution, each hamlet and neighborhood in the city will establish one Civil Defense Team. Each team will have a minimum of 7 members, including a team leader, a deputy team leader, and 5 members. For hamlets with 400 or more households, or neighborhoods with 550 or more households, one additional member will be added for every 50 households, but each Civil Defense Team will not exceed 15 members.
