Before the meeting, all officers and soldiers of the company were given a piece of paper by the battalion and company commanders with the following content: After a month of training and work, could you briefly share some funny stories, memories, or report on any events or tasks that you are not satisfied with?

To create a favorable psychological environment for the officers and soldiers of Company 2 to write down their happy and sad stories, the battalion commander also arranged suitable seating and space for them, and did not require them to write their full names... About 30 minutes later, when the officers and soldiers of the company had finished writing, the battalion commander organized them to fold the feedback forms and put them into a prepared sealed box to take back to the battalion for review.

"Why did your squad organize this activity?" I asked.

- This is one of the methods to improve the quality of understanding and managing ideology, promoting democracy, and helping all soldiers overcome the fear of confrontation or isolation, so that they can boldly share the difficulties and obstacles they encountered in their studies and work during the past month - the Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the battalion replied.

That evening, we participated in the mailbox opening session and came across many personal messages and feelings from officers and soldiers. For example, some officers were happy because their platoon had achieved better results this month and received commendations from the company; some soldiers were happy because a company officer lent them a phone to wish their girlfriend a happy birthday; or, there were dissenting opinions reflecting on the fact that the meals this month were mushy and unappetizing...

"One story a month" from officers and soldiers of each company is carefully categorized by the battalion command according to theme and target audience. Based on this categorization, commanders at each level gain a clear understanding of the results of mission performance and the ideological situation of the entire unit. This is one of the important bases for the Party Committee and battalion command to firmly grasp the situation and determine effective policies and measures for leading and directing mission implementation.

Since its implementation, the "One Story Per Month" model has contributed to helping the unit promptly lead and direct the resolution of concerns, problems, and conflicts; proactively propose solutions and measures to prevent and resolve problems arising from the grassroots level; and build the unit into a shining example in the regiment's emulation movement," the Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the battalion happily added.
