On the morning of October 19th, MoMo e-wallet users nationwide simultaneously experienced issues logging into the application on their mobile devices. The software only displayed a message stating: "An error occurred during processing or a network connection was lost. Please try again."

The unexpected outage of Vietnam's leading e-wallet has caused inconvenience and disruption to a large number of users. All money transfers, purchases, and payments were impossible, forcing users to find alternative solutions through bank apps or use cash.

However, by around 1 PM, MoMo was still unable to completely resolve the issue and restore the system to its original state, with some display errors remaining. To use the service normally, customers would have to log out of their accounts and log back in. A MoMo representative affirmed that this was only maintenance and would not affect customer rights.
