From the "For the Poor" Fund, along with contributions and support from collectives and individuals, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Hoa province has supported the construction and repair of 2,896 solidarity houses, worth more than 157 billion VND.

On the afternoon of December 20th, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province held its 3rd conference (15th term) to summarize the Front's work in 2024 and to implement the coordination program and unified action plan for 2025.

Opening the conference, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, emphasized: In 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations consistently adhered to political tasks, focusing on innovating the content and methods of operation, promoting emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks and the unified action coordination program of the provincial Fatherland Front, achieving positive results.

According to a report presented by Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, in 2024, the work of mobilizing resources to care for and assist the poor and those in difficult circumstances mobilized the highest amount ever, reaching over 226.5 billion VND. From the "For the Poor" Fund, along with contributions and support from collectives, individuals, and the business community, 2,896 solidarity houses were built and renovated, worth over 157 billion VND. Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on supporting and assisting in the construction of housing for poor households, policy beneficiary households, and households still facing housing difficulties in the province during the two years of 2024-2025, the entire province has so far started the construction and renovation of 3,697 houses.

The Fatherland Front at all levels in the province organized 1,238 independent monitoring sessions, providing feedback and suggestions on 453 draft mechanisms, policies, programs, and projects. In 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels organized 173 training courses for more than 20,439 cadres.

During the conference, delegates focused on the key tasks of the Fatherland Front in 2025. These included concentrating on disseminating information and implementing campaigns and emulation movements, with a focus on the campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy beneficiary households, and households facing housing difficulties in the province during 2024-2025, in accordance with Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee. They also emphasized improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged that the Fatherland Front at all levels had successfully organized congresses in many aspects, and had clearly implemented various tasks, including the "All People Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" movement; mobilizing people to donate land for road construction; mobilizing support for people affected by natural disasters; and the campaign to build houses for the poor, policy beneficiary households, and households still facing housing difficulties. In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels has done a good job of providing advice and social criticism; through contact with voters, it has compiled the opinions and recommendations of voters to state agencies.

To effectively carry out tasks in 2025, the Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee requested that the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continue to leverage the leadership of the Party Committees, the coordination of the government, relevant departments, and member organizations to quickly implement the resolutions of the Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels. They should effectively reorganize the internal structure of their agencies and units; and at the same time, propagate and mobilize member organizations to participate and create social consensus. In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels should continue to uphold a high sense of responsibility, participate in building the Party and the government, organize extensive political activities, and thoroughly disseminate and mobilize the people to actively contribute opinions to the draft Political Report of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term…

On this occasion, Mr. Lai The Nguyen presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province for its outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the 500kV power line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) in Thanh Hoa province; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, Head of the Democracy and Law Department, for his outstanding achievements in his work from 2019 to 2023.

At the conference, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to 3 leading units in the emulation movement, and presented Certificates of Merit to 89 collectives and 44 individuals for their outstanding achievements in Fatherland Front work in 2024.
