A year of great work

On the afternoon of December 20, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province held the 3rd conference (term XV) to summarize the Front's work in 2024 and deploy a program of coordination and unified action in 2025.

Opening the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province Pham Thi Thanh Thuy emphasized: In 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations have always closely followed political tasks, focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, promoting emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks and the program of coordinated and unified action set forth by the provincial Fatherland Front, achieving positive results.

The report presented by Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, showed that in 2024, the work of mobilizing and caring for the poor and people in difficult circumstances mobilized the highest resources ever, reaching more than 226.5 billion VND. From the "For the Poor" Fund, together with the participation and support of collectives, individuals, and the business community, 2,896 Great Solidarity houses were built and repaired, worth more than 157 billion VND. Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on supporting and assisting the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024 - 2025, up to now, the whole province has started to build and repair 3,697 houses.

The Fatherland Front at all levels in the province organized 1,238 independent monitoring sessions, commented on and provided comments on 453 draft mechanisms, policies, programs and projects. In 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels organized 173 training courses for more than 20,439 cadres to participate.

Discussing at the conference, delegates focused on the key tasks of the Front's work in 2025. Focusing on propaganda, implementing campaigns and emulation movements, focusing on the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the 2 years 2024 - 2025 in accordance with Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged: The Fatherland Front at all levels has successfully organized the congress in many aspects, and at the same time clearly implemented all aspects of work, including the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", mobilizing people to donate land for roads; mobilizing support for people affected by natural disasters; the campaign to build houses for the poor, policy households, and households with housing difficulties. Along with that, the Fatherland Front at all levels has done a good job of social consultation and criticism; through contacting voters, synthesizing voters' opinions and recommendations to state agencies.

To successfully carry out the tasks in 2025, the Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to continue to take advantage of the leadership of Party committees, the coordination of the government, sectors, and member organizations to quickly put the resolutions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels into practice. Implement well the organization and apparatus arrangement within the agencies and units; at the same time, propagate and mobilize member organizations to implement and create consensus in society. Along with that, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels continues to uphold the sense of responsibility, participate in Party building, government building, organize extensive political activities, thoroughly grasp and mobilize people to actively participate in giving opinions on the draft Political Report of the Party Congresses at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030...

On this occasion, Mr. Lai The Nguyen awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province for its outstanding achievements in organizing the implementation of the 500kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) in Thanh Hoa province; Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Pham Thi Thanh Thuy awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, Head of the Legal Democracy Committee, for his outstanding achievements in the work from 2019 to 2023.

At the conference, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to 3 leading units in the emulation movement, and awarded Certificates of Merit to 89 collectives and 44 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in 2024.
