According to the Ministry of Education and Training's announcement of the 2026 high school graduation exam results on the morning of July 1st, Hoang Huong Giang is one of the top three candidates in the A01 subject combination with 29.75 points. The female student achieved 9.75 points in Mathematics, and 10 points in Physics and English.
At the same time, Giang was also the second-highest scoring student nationwide in the D01 subject combination (Mathematics, Literature, English) with 28.25 points.

According to information from Hanoi Pedagogical University, Huong Giang is a student in class 12 Math 1 at the High School for Gifted Students affiliated with Hanoi Pedagogical University.
Prior to her high school graduation exam, the female student achieved a perfect score of 1600/1600 on the SAT. According to the College Board, the organization that owns the test, approximately 2 million students worldwide take the SAT annually. A score of 1530/1600 or higher places test-takers in the top 1% globally.
In addition, Huong Giang achieved an 8.0 IELTS score and was awarded a full scholarship at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) - a top university in South Korea.
Giang also participated in several competitions and won high awards, such as gold medals in the International Math Challenge and the Big Bei Bay Maths contest; and the promising talent award in the Solve for Tomorrow competition.
The female student is also a member of the Samsung scholarship program, having the opportunity to receive in-depth training at the Samsung Research and Development Center (SRV).
The 2026 high school graduation exam took place from June 10-12 with over 1.2 million candidates. After receiving their exam results, from July 1-5, candidates who wish to appeal can submit their appeal applications at the place where they registered for the exam. Within 15 days from the deadline for receiving appeal applications, the examination board will announce and notify the candidates of the appeal results.
By July 3rd at the latest, candidates will be considered for high school graduation. Before July 7th, they will be issued a temporary graduation certificate and a certificate of exam results. The final decision on high school graduation after the appeal process will be made before July 23rd.
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements, have not had their results canceled due to disciplinary action, achieve more than 1 point in all subjects, and have a graduation score of 5 points or higher are recognized as having graduated from high school.
