Cristian Romero is likely to leave Tottenham this summer, after the North London club finished 17th in the Premier League for the second consecutive year.
Spurs are planning for their first full season under manager Roberto De Zerbi, after a spectacular escape from relegation in the final matchday.

However, Tottenham may have to embark on this new journey without the services of their Argentinian captain in defense.
Previously, Romero had been linked with a move to La Liga, with both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid expressing interest.
However, Argentinian media have just revealed that MU is looking to sign Romero to strengthen their defense as they return to the Champions League.
If he joins the Old Trafford club, the 28-year-old center-back will be reunited with his Argentina national team teammate Lisandro Martinez.
Romero and Martinez have played together 17 times for the national team, suffering only one defeat. The central defensive duo also won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina.

As for Romero, he lost a considerable amount of goodwill from Tottenham fans towards the end of last season.
The criticism stemmed from unnecessary red cards and a controversial decision to miss a crucial match that would affect Spurs' survival in order to return to Argentina. Although Romero later reversed his decision, the wave of criticism did not subside.
With Romero's departure becoming increasingly likely, Tottenham have begun searching for a replacement. They are working to finalize the transfer of central defender Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton.
