Frank Ilett had to wait for MU to start a new winning streak.

Frank Ilett's beloved team was held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest in round 10 of the Premier League on the night of November 1, ending his hopes of completing the "vow of 5 consecutive victories" that he set more than a year ago.

It all started in October last year, when MU had a difficult start to the season. Ilett came up with the idea of only cutting his hair when the team won 5 consecutive matches – as a way to boost morale during a dark period. Unexpectedly, the joke became a phenomenon. After nearly 12 months, his curly hair attracted attention in the "Red Devils" fan community.

"It's been a crazy journey. I didn't think my hair – or my following – would get this big," Ilett told BBC Radio Manchester.

For nearly a year, MU has helped him almost get a haircut many times. Most recently, a series of 3 wins against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton, seemed to open up opportunities. But the unfortunate draw against Nottingham Forest caused the haircut plan to be postponed indefinitely.

Ilett remains optimistic, admitting: "I hope I'll get a haircut by the end of the year." But with a busy schedule ahead, that promise may be a while away.

On the night of November 1, MU was held to a 2-2 draw by Forest in round 10 of the Premier League. Casemiro opened the scoring, but Forest scored two quick goals in the second half to lead 2-1. In a deadlocked match, MU equalized after a classy volley from Amad Diallo in the 81st minute.

The "Red Devils" lost their winning streak and only got 1 point against the 18th ranked opponent. After 10 matches, MU is temporarily ranked 5th with 17 points.
