According to Gazzetta dello Sport , Manchester United expect to receive £50 million if Hojlund leaves. Despite already having Romelu Lukaku, Napoli manager Antonio Conte still wants to bring in another promising striker like Hojlund to fuel his greater ambitions.
Napoli are also considering a swap deal involving Victor Osimhen for Manchester United to reduce costs. Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray until the end of the season. The Nigerian striker is not in Conte's plans.
Despite interest from Napoli, Hojlund says he remains happy at Manchester United. The Danish international shared: "This is the club I've always dreamed of playing for. I'm also very happy to be working with Ruben [Amorim]. He's a fascinating person. I'm focused on the task with Ruben because the upcoming project at Manchester United is very exciting. Before that, Erik [ten Hag] was also one of the reasons I moved to Manchester United."
Hojlund has only scored 8 goals in all competitions this season, including 3 in the Premier League. The £72 million signing has not lived up to expectations. His inconsistent performances have put Hojlund on the list of players likely to leave this summer.
Manager Amorim is expected to make several changes to the squad, with around 10 players potentially being offloaded. Manchester United doesn't have a large budget for new signings, so they will have to sell some players if they want to bring in new recruits.
