In Ea Súp commune, Dang Van Tinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Ea Súp Youth Union, said that during this summer, activities to care for and create playgrounds for children have been widely implemented, thereby creating a space for fun, training, and comprehensive education for young children.

The Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union also directly went down to the branches to guide and organize model summer activities, after which the branches would proactively implement the activities according to the plan.

Through these activities, the Youth Union of the commune hopes that the children will have a beneficial summer, developing healthy life skills, learning to love their families, obey their parents, and contribute to the community through small actions.

Children in Ea Súp commune enthusiastically participate in local summer activities.

Observations at youth union branches in Ea Súp commune show that summer activities are organized regularly every weekend with many activities: organizing summer camps, folk games, group games, quizzes, themed painting competitions, cultural exchanges, learning about traffic safety and accident prevention skills… Through these activities, not only do the children have fun, but they also contribute to fostering morality, a positive lifestyle, and community awareness.

Nguyen Khanh Ha (10 years old, from village 13) expressed: “This summer was really fun and memorable because I got to participate in many interesting and beneficial activities. I liked playing knowledge-based games and receiving gifts from the youth union members the most. Through these activities, I found them very meaningful because they helped us learn, provided a space for fun, helped us develop skills, and made new friends.”

Beyond simply creating beneficial playgrounds, the Ea Súp Commune Youth Union also focuses on caring for disadvantaged children. Within the framework of the Red Phoenix Flower Campaign in Sub-district 249, the Ea Súp Commune Youth Union, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, the commune police, and other organizations and benefactors, donated over 200 gifts including notebooks, backpacks, t-shirts, hats, etc.

These small gifts, filled with love, have helped motivate the children to continue their education. Besides material gifts, the children also had the opportunity to play games, socialize, watch movies, and listen to helpful advice on preventing drowning and injuries, as well as essential legal knowledge. All of these elements contribute to nurturing their souls, providing them with necessary knowledge and life skills, helping them to be more confident and safer on their journey to adulthood.

Youth union members and young people conduct summer review sessions for children in Hamlet 5, Ia Rvê Commune.

In Ia Rvê commune, in addition to organizing summer activities for children, for many years the Youth Union has implemented free summer review classes to reinforce children's knowledge in preparation for the new school year.

According to Ms. Le Thi Tham, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ia Rve commune and Secretary of the Youth Union of Ia Rve commune, during the summer of 2025, the Youth Union of the commune implemented three summer review centers for children: the first in hamlets 12 and 13; the second in hamlets 1, 2, 4, and 5; and the third in hamlets 7, 8, 9, and 10. The classes take place in the evenings, focusing on reviewing Math, Vietnamese, and English, with the participation of Youth Union members, young people, and local teachers. On weekends, the children also participate in singing, dancing, folk dances, games, and life skills education. To date, approximately 200 students have participated in these summer review classes.

These simple classrooms under the dim lights are not only places for knowledge enrichment but also warm spaces that foster emotional connections between youth union members and children in remote areas. In Hamlet 5, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, the children eagerly gather at the hamlet's community cultural center to study. Their cheerful laughter and lively conversations create an incredibly joyful and vibrant atmosphere.

According to Mr. Pham Nhut Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union in Village 5, the summer review class here has about 20 students participating, supported by 10-15 Youth Union members who take turns teaching. The students are very active and attend regularly. To create interest, the Youth Union flexibly combines review with fun activities, helping the students learn without pressure, making learning fun at the same time.

The practical and heartwarming activities that have been and are being implemented in localities not only bring joy to children but also demonstrate the deep concern of all levels, sectors, and organizations in the care, education, and protection of children during the summer.
