The journey of self-improvement
For Nguyen Huynh Kim Ngan, a second-year student majoring in Literature Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (Long An Branch, Tay Ninh Province), this summer has a completely different character. It's not just a time for rest, but also an opportunity for Ngan to realize her youthful ideals through practical experiences and contributions to society.

The most memorable highlight of Ngan's summer was volunteering to support the Specialized Aptitude Test organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Ngan and her teammates directly guided, answered questions, and supported candidates throughout the examination process. These tasks, though quiet, carried profound practical and humanitarian value.
Ngân shared that seeing the young, eager yet anxious faces of the candidates on the threshold of their future, she felt like she was seeing a reflection of herself in her younger years. This deep empathy became the motivation for Ngân to be even more dedicated, because she understood that timely guidance, a warm smile, or sincere encouragement could all become a solid source of emotional support for the students.
Besides volunteering for the community, Ngan also chooses a balanced lifestyle by dedicating time to her family and developing her personal skills. She and her family go on trips to strengthen their bonds, explore the natural beauty of the country, and recharge their spirits. Ngan also participates in painting workshops to cultivate her creative thinking and artistic appreciation; and takes international certification courses such as IELTS and MOS to improve her foreign language skills and office computer skills.

But that's not all; Ngân's journey of cultivating knowledge and life ideals will continue as she prepares to participate in the school's upcoming Green Summer Campaign. For Ngân, each summer activity not only leaves behind beautiful memories but also fosters maturity in her awareness, shaping a responsible lifestyle, a willingness to share, and a strong desire to contribute to society.
Fun, meaningful, and enriching activities.
While university students are brimming with enthusiasm and a desire to contribute, the same passion burns brightly in high schools through practical actions that are deeply humane and reflect mature thinking.

For Vo Ngoc Quynh Nhu, a student at Nguyen Trung Truc High School in Ben Luc (Ben Luc commune), this summer holds a very special meaning. It's her last summer as a high school student and also the last time she'll wear the Red Phoenix Flower Campaign uniform. Before her busy and stressful final year of high school, Nhu didn't choose to stay home and relax; instead, she yearned to dedicate herself to her passion through volunteer activities, including supporting students during exam season.
And during this year's exam season, the image of the petite female student arriving at the exam site very early to meticulously prepare and provide support has become even more beautiful and radiant than usual. From safeguarding personal belongings and providing guidance to offering encouraging handshakes and congratulations when candidates finished their exams... everything was done by Nhu with sincerity. These valuable experiences from the Red Phoenix Campaign have helped Nhu cultivate a sense of responsibility, management skills, self-confidence, and accumulate valuable knowledge before officially entering university in the future.
Besides the spirit of volunteering, the summer of schoolchildren is also woven with bright, creative colors of painting. This is the inspiring story of Nguyen Diem Quynh, a 7th-grade student in Thu Thua commune. Having discovered her passion for painting early on in the 3rd grade, Quynh used her summer break to hone her skills in specialized art classes. However, this summer was even more special for Quynh, as she was no longer simply a student listening to lectures and practicing drawing, but confidently tried her hand at being an "assistant teacher" for her art teacher.
As a long-time and talented student, Quynh aspires to teach, guide, and inspire a passion for painting in younger students. Being a teaching assistant not only helps Quynh develop patience, communication skills, and teamwork abilities, but also allows her to continue practicing and improving her drawing skills during her free time between classes.

It is this inspiring art space that has attracted and welcomed new talents, such as Nguyen Khanh Vy, a 3rd-grade student in Thu Thua commune. Captivated by the vibrant paintings, Vy's parents created an opportunity for her to participate in painting classes during the summer to try her hand at it and gain experience.
Under the dedicated guidance of parents, from the most basic steps like mixing colors and coloring to drawing simple lines, the third-grade student had a healthy environment to develop her thinking skills. The support and understanding of parents in creating opportunities for their children to access artistic talents resulted in a fulfilling, enriching, and joyful summer for the children.
This summer, young people are no longer passive during their holidays. Instead, they are transforming the summer into a springboard for personal growth. Whether it's participating in volunteer campaigns in remote areas, supporting exam preparation, or diligently attending talent classes to hone their skills and inspire others, each young person is writing vibrant chapters in their summer diary. This proactiveness, sense of responsibility, and compassion affirm the character of a new generation – a generation that knows how to live for the community and constantly strives for self-improvement.
