Tran Xuan Vinh (31 years old), owner of the YouTube channels Vat Vo Studio (2.3 million followers) and Vinh Xo (301,000 followers), TikTok with over 400,000 followers, and Facebook Fanpage with 561,000 followers, is known as a long-standing technology product reviewer in Vietnam.

According to Vinh, although the economy is still experiencing many fluctuations, the workload during the period leading up to Tet remains steady, even somewhat overwhelming, due to the nature of the work which involves reviewing technology products, as manufacturers of phones, air conditioners, and accessories usually launch products during this time.

To ensure the quality of work during peak days, Vinh Vật Vờ says he only selects products that have undergone in-depth testing to introduce to consumers in the most authentic way, helping them understand and maintain trust in the reviewer as well as the products that the partner is collaborating with.

"My busiest time is from September to the Lunar New Year, when tech companies launch new products and I have to spend time testing and reviewing them. My freest time is usually from April to June, a period when people often visit temples after the Lunar New Year, and students are on summer vacation," shared the owner of the YouTube channel Vật Vờ Studio.

Similarly, KOL Ngo Duc Duy, owner of the TikTok channel Ngo Duc Duy (7.2 million followers) and the YouTube channel Duy Tham (2.04 million followers), said that orders for reviewing technology products at the end of the year remain steady because consumers are usually willing to spend money to upgrade to new products during Tet (Lunar New Year), for example, phone manufacturers have to launch and introduce new models.

However, compensation has decreased slightly due to companies cutting back on marketing costs.

"The Lunar New Year is a prime time for phone manufacturers to release new products, and they usually have long-term partnerships with us. Therefore, the work remains stable every year; it can only increase, it's unlikely to decrease," Mr. Duy said.

According to Pham Tuan Ngoc, owner of the TikTok channel Tuan Ngoc here! (2.8 million followers), his main activity at the end of the year is livestreaming sales on TikTokshop, and his compensation is calculated as a commission on sales revenue during the livestream session.

"Product review contracts for tech products are consistent during the Lunar New Year season, but livestreaming sales on TikTok are slightly more lucrative. This year is challenging, but it's also an opportunity for me to collaborate with brands like Marshall and JBL," Mr. Tuan Ngoc shared.

Revenue during Tet (Lunar New Year) decreased by 50%, but another TikToker, who is a KOL for a tire and lubricant brand, shared that thanks to the reduced workload, this TikToker had more time to sell spicy noodles, handbags, and suitcases, and is doing very well in Ho Chi Minh City.
