In the early days of the new school year, the atmosphere at Suoi Trai Primary and Secondary School (Suoi Trai commune) was more vibrant as 50 underprivileged students received new sets of textbooks. This was not only a form of material support but also a source of encouragement, instilling confidence in the children on their educational journey.

Holding a set of books still smelling of fresh ink, Kpă Ngọc Khuyết, a student in class 3A at Suối Trai Primary and Secondary School, shared: “I’ve never studied with brand-new books like this before; I’ve always borrowed used books from older students. With new books, I will try my best to study better.” Behind those innocent words lies an indescribable happiness, because these simple gifts have touched the dreams of children in disadvantaged areas.

According to Mr. Vo Dinh Tho, the school principal, the gifts from Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company not only provide material support to students but also encourage them, especially those from poor and near-poor households. The concern of businesses and society is a driving force that gives parents more confidence in sending their children to school.

Representatives from Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company presented gifts to underprivileged students in Binh Kien ward.

Students at Nguyen Chi Thanh Primary School and Tran Cao Van Secondary School in Binh Kien ward also recently received similar good news. 33 scholarships, each worth 300,000 VND, were awarded by Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company, with the hope of alleviating some of the difficulties faced by the students in the new school year.

Danh Thi Hong Tham, a fourth-grade student at Nguyen Chi Thanh Primary School, faces extremely difficult circumstances due to her osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease). Tham shared: "Because of my illness, I can't take care of myself. My mother had to quit her job to stay home and take me to and from school every day. The whole family relies on the meager income my father earns from his fishing trips, so our family's finances are very tight. I feel very comforted by the support and assistance from the school and other organizations."

At the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duc Thang, the specialized auditor of Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company, said: "This is a regular activity of the enterprise to contribute to sharing difficulties with the community, especially caring for the younger generation in the locality where the company is located. The company hopes that each small gift will help students reduce their burdens and have better learning conditions. Investing in education is also investing in the future, and that is the social responsibility that the company always strives for."

The long-term commitment and clear, consistent support plan of an organization like Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company will create a strong ripple effect. Because more than anyone else, students in disadvantaged areas desperately need helping hands so they are not left behind on their journey to school.
